The artist, Kishimoto was born on 8th November 1974 in Nagi, Okayama, Japan. The name of Masashi’s parents has not been revealed. He has an older identical twin brother Seishi Kishimoto. He loved watching his favorite animated cartoons with his brother in his childhood. Besides drawing and sketching, he also enjoys playing baseball and basketball.

Masashi’s first successful manga pilot was ‘Karakuri’ which he submitted to publisher Shueisha in 1995. For Karakuri work, he received ‘Hot Step Award’ in the year 1996. At the beginning of his career, he faced a lot of rejection and frustration. However, in 1999, the serialized version of ‘Naruto’ was premiered in ‘Weekly Shonen Jump’ which was a successful hit among people.

Kishimoto’s work ‘Narurto’ has 700 chapters accumulated in 72 volumes which was sold over 113 million copies in Japan and 95 million copies in the USA. However, the series was ended on November 10, 2014. He was the winner of “Rookie of the Year” for the series in the ‘Agency for Cultural Affairs.’ Furthermore, his work on 7^th volume led him to win “Quill Award” which was the first manga ever to win this title.

Other manga works his audience loved are ‘Bench one-shot,’ ‘Mario one-shot,’ ‘Boruto: Naruto Next Generations’ and many ‘Naruto’ series. Masashi has worked on the popular video game Tekken 6 where he redesigned new characters. Not only has he worked on manga, but he was also involved in making movies inspired by the anime ‘Naruto.’ Movies like ‘Road to Ninja: Naruto the Movie,’ ‘The Last: Naruto the Movie’ and ‘Boruto: Naruto the Movie’ are his work. In 2017, Masashi revealed he would work on new manga series starting from 2018.
