Who was Jeffrey Epstein?

Jeffrey was an American Financier, Businessman, Investor, and Science & Research Philanthropist gained media attention when he was convicted for molesting a 14-year-old girl in 2008. He served 13-months jail time and was later again convicted on July 6, 2019, on the accusation of sex trafficking underage girls in Florida and New York.

Jeffery Edward Epstein was born to a Jewish family in 1953. He celebrated his birthday on 20 January which makes his age 66. His family raised him alongside his younger brother, Mark. He held and American nationality.

On the subject of his education, he joined Lafayette High School, from where he graduated in 1969 before enrolling classes at Cooper Union. However, he dropped out in 1971 from where he attended the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences at New York University before dropping out he without graduating.

Jeffrey started his career as a teacher before starting his career in finance. He taught calculus at the Dalton School in Manhattan. However, he shifted to finance when he worked at Bear Stearns as an options trader in the special products division in 1976 before becoming a limited partner at Bear Stearns in 1980.

However, in 1982, he started his financial management firm, J. Epstein & Co. His firm went on to manage the assets of billionaire clients. Later, he changed the name of his firm and named it Financial Trust Company in 1996 which was now based on the island of St. Thomas in the U. S. Virgin Islands for tax advantage.

Death Cause and Funeral Details

Jeffrey Epstein committed suicide and was found dead by the officials on August 10, 2019. He was awaiting trials for child sex trafficking charges which could lead jail-time to 45 years if found guilty. Manhattan federal prosecutors charged the billionaire with sex trafficking girls, as young as 14, last month.

Likewise, Jeffrey was on a suicide watch just weeks before his suicide as he was found with marks on his neck on July 23. Regardless, the fact remains unknown if he had attempted suicide or was assaulted as Jeffrey talked about being beaten up and called child predator.
