Who is Chanyeol?

Chanyeol is a South Korean singer and rapper of popular band EXO. The singer is famous among K-pop fans worldwide and has worked on movies too.

The 25-year-old singer was born on 22nd November 1992, in the heart of South Korea, Seoul. The rapper hasn’t revealed his parent’s name, but he has an older sibling named Park Yura who is TV Host by profession. Chanyeol attended Hyundai Chungun High School and went to Kyung Hee Cyber University.

Early Profession and Career

The handsome rapper was inspired by the movie ‘School of Rock’ which influenced him to learn to drum. Later, in his Middle School, Chanyeol created the band called “Heavy Noise.” Furthermore, he was runner-up in the televised straight modeling contest in 2008.

Chanyeol got an opportunity to appear in a music video for the song ‘HaHaHa’ before his debut. He tried his luck with S.M Entertainment and got his way in. This helped him to make a debut with the band called ‘EXO.’ In 2014, he debuted as a songwriter and came up with the track ‘Run’ from the album ‘Overdose.’ However, the song that gave him click among the public was ‘Delight.’ It was also his solo work which topped almost all music charts in South Korea.

Chanyeol’s work could be seen in the television series ‘Two Yoo sugar man’ where he has provided OST song called ‘If We Love Again’ in collaboration with South Korean singer Chen.  Some of his songs that topped the music chart are ‘Bad Girl,’ ‘Rewind,’ ‘I Hate You,’ and ’Stay With Me.’

Furthermore, he did acting as well, and some of his notable works are ‘So I Married an Anti-Fan,’ ‘Exo Next Door,’ and ‘Secret Queen Maker.’

Moreover, Chanyeol has appeared on music videos like ‘We Young,’ ‘Stay With Me,’ ‘I Hate You’ and more. He is known for putting hard work and delivering the quality product.  This helped him to grab numerous awards. Some of the awards he won are “13th KKMusic Box Awards” for Best Korean Singer of the Year “Asia model Festivals Award” for Asia OST popularity “8th Korean Drama Awards” where he won as a new best Actor.
