Chad Reed is an Australian Supercross and Motocross Racer famous for being the winner multiple-time in Motocross and Supercross Championship. He is the two-time winner of the Monster Energy FIM World Championship in 2004 and 2008.

Sadly, Chad’s 2019 season ended early as he got injured in the Round 12 of the series in Seattle.

Chad is the son of Robyn Reed and Mark Reed and shared his childhood with brother Troy Reed. He owned a horse named Fern which he traded for his first bike, Yamaha PW50.

Chad found love for motorbikes since he was a kid and went on to take the top spot in the Australian Junior Championship in 1997. In 1998, he began his journey as a professional Motocross Racer in Australia, participated in 250 cc class, and ultimately became the 250 CC Supercross Champion in Australia in 2000.

In 2001, Chad left Australia to compete in Europe in the FIM World 250 CC World Championships and came second behind World Champion Mickael Pichon. In 2002, he moved to the USA to compete in the AMA Series and came in third place in his first season in the 250cc Motocross Championship.

In 2004, Chad finally won the 250cc Supercross championship after grabbing ten wins in the season, battling Tim Ferry and Kevin Windham. In the following seasons, he came in behind Carmichael but worked hard to come out stronger in the 2008 season, eventually winning the AMA Supercross for the second time.

In his Motocross career, Chad had a long rivalry with James Stewart as both were head to head in every competition. As of 2019, Chad holds the record for most starts in the main events and one of the oldest riders to secure a win at age 32 in Supercross history.

As of 2019, Chad could not compete in the AMA Monster Energy Supercross after crashing out in the main event and injuries in his ribs and a broken scapula.
