Aitor was born on 30th August 1980, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Aitor spent his childhood in different places including Spain, and then to Burnley, Lancashire. Aitor’s mother is a medical doctor though he hasn’t yet disclosed her name, neither, has he given insight on his family background. He graduated in Fashion Design from Manchester Metropolitan University.

Early Profession and Career

The talented artist opened his studio in east London in 2006. The following year he created his design house ‘A.T. Studio.’  Aitor has worked in collaboration with Stone Island for two seasons. Moreover, Aitor has worked on the design and illustrated on the cover of the December issue of Dazed & Confused Japan’s edition. The artist designed the English national football team’s official ‘home’ kit in the year 2009, 2010, and 2011 working for Umbro as a creative consultant.

In 2014, Aitor worked as creative director for Damon Albarn’s debut solo ‘Everyday Robots’ for designing and photographing the album. The versatile and creative artist has worked on several other projects as a designer including ‘Flying Lotus,’ ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 and part 2.’ He has gained much appreciation from his new product line ‘New Object Research’ as well as he was announced as a new creative consultant for reputed brand ‘G-Star Raw.’

For the effort and passion Aitor showed in his work, he has grabbed numerous awards and nominations including 2006 winner of the ‘Collection of the Year’ award. He was awarded 2015 Honorary Fellowship of the Royal College of Art and much other prestigious nomination.
