The ex-prime minister of Zimbabwe, Robert Mugabe who served as the second prime minister from 1980 to 1987, died at the age of 95 on 6 September 2019. Later he worked as the President of Zimbabwe for 30 years, with forced resignation in 2017.

Robert lost his life on September 6, 2019, at the age of 95 after a long admission on a Singapore hospital. Apart from this, no information is available regarding his exact death cause. Moreover, his family members haven’t disclosed the details of his funeral.

Born on 21 February 1924, Robert was raised in Kutama Mission Village which is in Southern Rhodesia’s Zvimba District. By profession Robert’s father Gabriel Matibiri, was a carpenter while his mother Bona was a teacher who taught Christian catechism. He has six siblings Miteri, Raphael, Robert, Dhonandhe, Bridgette and Sabina. Robert attended the University of Fort Hare in South Africa and graduated in Bachelor of Arts degree in history and English.

At a young age, Robert commenced his career as a teacher and taught different schools in Southern Rhodesia. During his college life, he met different influential people, and he states it as the turning point of his life. Before taking the oath as the Prime Minister of Zimbabwe, Robert went through a different phase in his life including Imprisonment, Guerrilla War, Lancaster House Agreement, and Electoral Campaigns. He took his oath and became the Prime Minister on April 17, 1980.  He holds the position for seven years. After resigning from the post, he served Zimbabwe as the President for 30 years.
