Her birth sign is Aries. Marin was born to parents, Margaret R. (Polga) Hinkle, a Justice of Superior Court and Rodney Hinkle, a college dean. She completed her education from Tisch School of the Arts.

In 1994, Marin started her acting career when she showed for the role of Joanne in the Sitcom “Angie,” followed by her appearance as Alison Van Rohan in the NBC musical drama “Another world.” With her growth in the industry, Marin did several movies like What Just Happened, The Next Big Thing to name a few. In 2017, she was part of the movie named Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle with the cast of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Kevin Hart.

Apart from her movie career, Marin got the big break in the small screens like Once and Again and Two and a half men. In 2003, she got a role of Judith in the CBC Sitcom, Two and a half men, which changed her career for good. In total, she appeared for 83 episodes in the series from 2003 to 2015.
