Kasie started her journey in journalism as an intern on January 2002 in the political unit of NBC News, in Washington D.C. Metro Area. She worked there for five years and left in May 2005. Hunt joined The Associated Press as a News Assistant and worked for one year and a month in May 2006 then resigned in May 2007. Hunt was a healthy policy reporter for National Journal’s Congress Daily, managing about the passage of the Affordable Care Act from July 2008 to February 2010.

Kasie started working for Politico in January 2010, covering for GOP nomination in Iowa and New Hampshire. She began to work as a national political reporter for the Associated Press until January 2013. She also covered Mitt Romney’s 2012 presidential campaign.

In 2013, Kasie joined NBC News as an off-air reporter till 2014. After that, she started appearing regularly on MSNBC shows. In July 2014, she became a political correspondent for MSNBC till December 2016. She currently writes for msnbc.com and appears regularly on MSNBC, and Bloomberg shows from January 2017.
