Steven Mnuchin, U.S. Treasury Secretary to attend upcoming Saudi summit despite the Controversy

While Mr. President is disappointed with Jamal Khashoggi’s murder, Steven Mnuchin is still planning on attending Saudi summit. The U.S. Treasury Secretary decided to participate in an upcoming summit, Larry Kudlow, White House economic adviser said.

‘Mr. Mnuchin will make up his mind as the week progresses and as new information surfaces’

Kudlow revealed the statement right after Marco Rubio, Florida Senator suggested boycotting the event. Moreover, he stated that the US must confront Saudi Arabia.

‘If we do not take action, including potentially arms sales, as a result of this, if it turns out to be what they say it is, then we are not going to be able to with a straight face or any credibility confront Putin or Assad or Maduro in Venezuela or frankly confront the Chinese and their human rights violations.’
